History
Guevavi is derived from an O’odham word first referenced in 1691 in the Santa Cruz River Valley of Arizona. Thought to be associated with the term “Big Spring,” Guevavi is the name of a Spanish mission that at one time or another was named after three archangels: San Gabriel, San Raphael and later San Miguel. Father Eusebio Francisco Kino, a Jesuit missionary, renamed the mission in 1691 in honor of the principal archangels.
As the first European settlement west of the Mississippi, Tubac represents all things common in today’s business environment: conflict, growth, uncertainty, abandonment, revival and success. Tubac and the Santa Cruz Valley has an empowering spirit that is reflected in our work.
The three principal archangels not only represent our business functions - marketing, advertising and Public Relations - they also represent our passion and philosophy.
San Miguel is commonly referred to as ‘the patron saint of the warrior,’ which demonstrates our spirit as we battle to connect your customers with your business.
Seen as ‘a messenger,’ San Gabriel refers to how we create and deliver our messages based on the principals of ethical influence.
The ‘Healer,’ San Raphael stands for our commitment to cure your marketing mix and deliver healthy results.
